Our Raison d'être

The vision of KuruBa is that through the wise use of wildlife (sustainable wildlife-based economic development) in the Warigué and Monts Tingui regions, the intrinsic and extrinsic value of wildlife will be restored and enhanced in coordination with local communities.

The KuruBa logo represents a map of Africa as well as the silhouette of the roan antelope found throughout West Africa and which has been hunted severely because it is a highly sought after source of “bush meat”.

It is our hope and dream that through good management and education that the local communities in both the Monts Tingui and Warigué regions will begin to recognize the value of this species and many like it for more that simply the “bush meat” value.
